As a machinist, yes one that works on CNC machines that makes parts. I got a few thoughts for this.
1. The cost is ok, pricy for what you get but that is understandable. For one the cost comes from the time and material costs but still on the pricey side for what you get.
2. Its made as a 2 port just to save cost with tooling. And let me tell you, tooling costs money to make before being able to save money and that can not always be better to make them. But to explain this better, I feel like they should stop making the 2 port boards and replace them with female plug ended cables instead of these.
What this means is that there are two more versions (SKUs) of the different wires. While yes its more SKUs, think Device ids or product ID numbers it would make for better and clear wiring.
The first SKU would be ones, like I said, have the female plugs on these boards on the ends of the 5m, 15m,30m etc. The other would have one end with a male plug and another with a female plug.
3. What I bought them for was to extend the DIY altered Lego lighting kits i bought from them to hide the wires so you cannot see them.
In general, these are good and work but i feel like they should have 2x the amount. have 8 for just a little bit higher price. And should have wire version of the 2 port boards.
