From the Designer
Hi, I’m Megan from Light My Bricks. As a Star Wars fan, I couldn’t resist lighting up this adorable festive twist on the classic AT-AT™ Walker. It’s such a fun and creative set—mixing the power of the Empire with the sweetness of Christmas! Adding lights to this build was just as fun as putting it together, and the end result is bright, cheerful, and full of festive charm.
Lighting Inspiration
Because the Gingerbread AT-AT™ Walker is one of the smaller LEGO® Star Wars builds, I wanted to keep the lighting simple while still capturing all the fun and festivity of the design.
Inside the walker, I added two Warm White Flicker Effect Astro Lights behind the flame pieces to create a gentle, glowing hearth effect. It’s subtle but brings a lot of warmth and life to the sugary interior—like the cozy heart of this Christmas creation.
To add some playful sparkle, I used two Multi-Colour Astro String Lights, woven through the Christmas light decorations on either side of the AT-AT™. These lights cycle through bright festive colours, perfectly matching the cheerful, over-the-top gingerbread style of the set.
Finally, Gingerbread Darth Vader wouldn’t be complete without his glowing Red Lightsaber, adding that unmistakable Star Wars touch to the display.
The end result is a fun, vibrant display that balances a warm holiday glow with the whimsy and personality of LEGO®.
Feature Highlights
Festive Lights in Motion
The highlight of this bundle has to be the 10-LED Multi-Colour Astro String Lights, which bring the LEGO® Christmas light decorations to life. Each LED is tucked neatly underneath the coloured plates along the LEGO® light garlands, creating a seamless, glowing look that matches the cheerful style of the set.
To make things even more festive, the final LED from each string is left out and mounted inside the walker, adding a Christmas glow to the interior as well. The cable itself is white, so it blends perfectly into the build and doesn’t distract from the colourful details.
The result is a fun, dynamic light show that feels perfectly at home on this gingerbread creation — bright, bold, and full of festive personality.
