Description

Whether it's forward to space and science, or back to all things historical, an abundance of interesting exhibits are here, lit up and on display - in the LEGO Icons Natural History Museum 10326 - so stroll through and light up a thing or two with Light My Bricks!

This light kit features 24 individual LEDs to bring this place of learning to life! Including easy-to-adhere White Strip Lights, which make sure the building's interior is bathed in a pleasant glow, fit for a spectacular public space during opening hours.

The many brick details jam-packed into this LEGO set are expertly highlighted by our kit, taking this Modular Building to the next level! - The interior installations and exterior banners are lit with a blend of White and Warm White Bit Lights, thanks to several expertly placed Light My Bricks Spotlights.

Natural History Museum patrons will have no trouble finding a safe place to meet on this modular street - they can gather under our Custom Designed Lamp Post before taking a tour through this magnificent museum.

Also included are several Wireless Power Connectors, which ensure that the playability and displayability of this awesome set, once assembled with our light kit - is never disrupted.

Light My Bricks LEGO Lighting Kits provide an easy way for LEGO fans to customize their models using LED lights. With detailed, step-by-step instructions, anyone can light up their LEGO set. All our kits are plug and play - no electronics knowledge needed!

IMPORTANT NOTE

We recommend lighting this kit by a USB Power Bank or USB Wall Adaptor (to connect to a mains outlet), which is NOT included in this kit. If you do not have a USB Power Bank or USB Wall Adaptor, you can purchase them from our Powering section.

Another excellent product!

Very tasteful and really good job of hiding the wires. Was tricky to get them in for this one but the end product is amazing! The wireless power connectors and excellent job of hiding the wires make the Museum look like it doesn't have a lighting kit installed during the day or when its not turned one. Keep em coming and maybe update some of your older designs?

Pretty lights.

I’ve been working on this project for hours. The connectors are REALLY small and the leads are a little short on some of the lights making one work inside the model. I wound up buying a magnifying ring light set up and tweezers. So far so good.

As happens in the movie, the Museum comes to life.

I have made some modifications to ensure that the cables are not visible running through the walls of the building. I think the final result is perfect. A cleaner result is achieved, clear of cables, which is what should ultimately be achieved when illuminating a Lego set, especially if it is a modular one.

My Natural History Museum

The Kit included a good collection of lights and parts to do the building justice. Unfortunately I saw a way in which to make it into a MOC.

Firstly the addition of a MILS base - this gave the building more rigidity for handling/moving and also enables the wiring to be concealed. While the wire is thin and can hide under Lego tiles when twisted it is still a problem. Especially when under the edge of a Lego piece as I found that the wires insulation can be compromised resulting in a short-circuit. Untwisting the wire reduces it's thickness and prevents the short.

Secondly the banners could benefit from the use a downward light. So I modified the roof facade by using a 1x2 Tile with center stud, 3L Bar & a Bar holder with clip. The lights (from a starter kit) were mounted as per the upward facing ones. What came in handy was that the 6-port expansion board in the roof that 2 unused ports.

My final mod was to add the curve to the top of the ground floor windows so as to blend better with the first floor. I did add a 1x2 black plate (maybe it should be a 1x2 plate with door rail) into the mix so that the ground floor lights had a consistent look.

That's it except since I'm not an ardent Lego AFOL, I model with Lego rather than just Model Lego. I will and did drill thu studs when running the wiring. Maybe it's the ex-Sparkie in me 'cos I preferred concealed wiring over the exposed version. Lego is now including parts with hollow studs so I've just followed suit.
