Our kit is the perfect addition to complement this enormous throwback LEGO set, with 28 individual LEDs that will allow you to illuminate all the retro details originally dreamt up by LEGO back in 1978! Our range of Yellow, Orange and Warm White Bit Lights provide the perfect tint for flames, candles and fireplaces - which light up the interior castle walls in a realistic flickering, crackling, animated fashion, thanks to four of our Flicker Effects Boards.
This monstrous castle has been built to play with, just like the original LEGO sets upon which it’s based - our light kit assembly ensures full functionality and playability once installed, thanks to our easy-to-follow instructions! Access all the fun-filled elements such as trapdoors, draw bridges, moving walls and secret passages with ease.
This kit features a range of brick elements to build several Spotlights to shine upon the towering castle walls! Sound the trumpets and raise the flags! The Lion Knights are in for a fight - better provide them with some light!

This lighting kit is powered by a USB Power Bank, USB to AA Battery Pack or USB Wall Adaptor (to connect to a mains outlet), which is NOT included in this kit. If you do not have a USB Power Bank or USB Wall Adaptor, you can purchase them from our Powering section.

I have only on complain, the instructions specified that som vires should be hidden i a place where they would be very visible on the set, but with some skill you can find alternative hiding places depending on the way you want to display the castle.
This kit really helps this set come to life.

First experience with Light my Bricks. Absolutely not disappointed, this kit is fantastic! This lights really brings the Castle to life! As I bought the kit before starting the built, I was able to analyze the wire positions and think of more elegant or discrete ways to make them meander across the castle. Thanks to some spare parts, I managed so customizations I really like. Thanks also to spare lights from the kit, I was able to also illuminate the customized access ramp I found instructions for on the net (for free). I added to the standard light kit a flickering piece for the water below the ramp (to give a light reflecting on water surface effect), replaced the bell tower's small light by the spare large one, in order to put the two light orange lights at the entrance of the MOC ramp. I also added wireless power connectors to connect both parts of the castle networks instead of the waire (easier to separate and move it that way), and same thing was done for the ramp. Thus, no wires to unplug when separating the elements. I also chose not place the fireplaces lights not on the ceiling but inside a cone, facing back, to get an indirect light coming from the flames level, not above. See the results! What do you think about it?
The ultimate lighting effect is nice, particularly the flickering torches. I think more care could have been taken to route wires to make it more tidy. I ended up doing some work to help on this front. Also was not a fan of the spotlight on the ramp leading up to the drawbridge. I still do not understand all the twisting required to help “hide” wires. They are fragile and that level of twisting makes me nervous. Also, one of the light strands was broken out of the box, with the connector not attached. I wanted to give this more stars, but the execution just is not there.
